This study evaluated factors influencing the survival and success rates of 30 dental implants placed in 20 patients over a period of 6 months to 1 year. The results showed a 100% survival rate for the implants, with all implants meeting the criteria for implant health and success. Marginal bone loss was found between implant placement and 6 months post-placement, but no significant additional bone loss after 6 months. Patient and implant factors like bone quality, torque values, and implant design and dimensions did not significantly influence crestal bone loss. The implants were considered to be highly successful based on established criteria.

This study evaluated the stability and rate of osseointegration of 33 immediately loaded dental implants in 7 patients that were treated with ultraviolet light photofunctionalization. Photofunctionalization increased the hydrophilicity, cleanliness, and positive charge of the implant surfaces. The average stability of the photofunctionalized implants at 6 weeks was higher than typically reported for untreated implants after 2-6 months of healing. No stability dips were observed for the photofunctionalized implants. Photofunctionalization accelerated osseointegration as shown by higher stability increases per month compared to literature reports on untreated implants. This study evaluated 42 dental implants placed with high insertion torques of 70 Ncm or greater. All implants successfully integrated clinically and were stable after 1 year of loading. Marginal bone loss after 1 year was similar between implants placed with high torques (mean 1.24 mm) and low torques (mean 1.09 mm), indicating that high insertion torques did not negatively impact osseointegration or bone stability. The use of high insertion torques up to 176 Ncm did not prevent osseointegration and resulted in similar bone stability outcomes compared to lower torque implants.

Seven patients received a total of 11 implants, which were immediately inserted using piezosurgery to drill through the impacted teeth. It has been suggested, however, that immediate placement of implants into infected extraction sites is contraindicated due to the pathology interfering with osseointegration resulting in decreased implant survival and success With many potential implant sites presenting with a preexisting periapical or periodontal infection, treatment protocols have been advocated for immediate placement of implants in these infected sites. Advancements in surgical techniques and implant surface technology have made immediate placement of implants a more predictable and accepted treatment option; however, there is still debate about whether infected extraction sites should be used for immediate implant treatment approaches. The purpose of this clinical update is to report on the success and survival of implants placed immediately into infected extraction sites.

Abstract: This case report describes extraction of a fractured left maxillary central incisor tooth, followed by immediate placement of an one-piece implant in the prepared socket and temporization by a bonded restoration.
Materials And Methods: The tooth was extracted with minimal hard and soft tissue trauma and without flap reflection. The socket was prepared to the required depth and a Implant was inserted.
Results: The atraumatic operating technique and the immediate insertion of the one-piece Implant resulted in the preservation of the hard and soft tissues at the extraction site.
Conclusion: The “One-piece” dental implant and provisional restoration provided the patient with immediate esthetics, function, comfort and most importantly preservation of tissues. The one-piece implant design resulted in a high cumulative implant survival rate and beneficial marginal bone levels.

Dr. Magda Mensi presents a case study of a 40-year old patient with aggressive periodontitis who received an Alpha-Bio Tec SPI dental implant and aesthetic restoration. The patient's bone height was 4mm below the maxillary sinus floor. Dr. Mensi performed a crestal sinus elevation procedure using autologous CGF and inserted an 8mm implant. A temporary crown was placed and after 15 days, a final ceramic crown was cemented using an aesthetic abutment. A 6-month follow-up x-ray showed good integration of the implant and prosthetic restoration with no crestal bone loss.

The quality of life (WHO QOL-BREF) was also measured for the purpose of conducting a comprehensive assessment of the various systemic factors of Iraqi patients receiving dental implants. Over an average observation period of 28.8 months, the estimated 5-year survival rate was greater than 98.6%. Statistical analysis showed no significant difference in survival rates between implants with abutments angled 0-15 degrees and 20-45 degrees. Good esthetic and functional outcomes were observed.

Dr. Magda Mensi presents a case study of a 40-year old patient with aggressive periodontitis who received an Alpha-Bio Tec SPI dental implant and aesthetic restoration. The patient's bone height was 4mm below the maxillary sinus floor. Dr. Mensi performed a crestal sinus elevation procedure using autologous CGF and inserted an 8mm implant. A temporary crown was placed and after 15 days, a final ceramic crown was cemented using an aesthetic abutment. A 6-month follow-up x-ray showed good integration of the implant and prosthetic restoration with no crestal bone loss.

In this study, 220 patients from different hospitals in Iraq and distribution Lost follow-up implants and Failed implants of the patient's study for four years, 300 implants. Study showed 220 participants were included, and the average age ranged between 40-60 years with a mean value and standard deviation of 48±7.8.0 This study was designed by adopting an analysis approach for all factors affecting dental implants, and the results were analysed according to the statistical analysis program IBM SPSS Soft. The quality of life (WHO QOL-BREF) was also measured for the purpose of conducting a comprehensive assessment of the various systemic factors of Iraqi patients receiving dental implants. The results which found to be distributed according to gender for 130 male patients with 59.09%, females for 90 patients with 40.09%, Implant insertion torque range achieved in no. of cases (Maxillary dental implants with No. of implants placed 30 for 30±4.9 N and 40 No. of implants placed with Implant insertion torque range achieved in no. of cases 45±7.7 N), (Mandibular dental implants with No. of implants placed for 40 (Implant insertion torque range achieved in no. of cases 34±3.4), (Mandibular dental implants with No. of implants placed 175 and Implant insertion torque range achieved in no. of cases 47±6.6) The effect of dental implants on the quality of life of patients was also identified, and a statistically significant relationship was found at a p-value < 0.05

This subtype is prevalent among postmenopausal women and typically exhibits a more indolent course compared to other forms of breast cancer, which allows for a variety of treatment options.
Diagnosis and Staging
The diagnosis of HR+ breast cancer begins with clinical evaluation, imaging, and biopsy. Imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, and MRI help in assessing the extent of the disease. Histopathological examination and immunohistochemical staining of the biopsy sample confirm the diagnosis and hormone receptor status by identifying the presence of estrogen receptors (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) on the tumor cells.
Staging involves determining the size of the tumor (T), the involvement of regional lymph nodes (N), and the presence of distant metastasis (M). The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system is commonly used. Accurate staging is critical as it guides treatment decisions.
Treatment Options
Endocrine Therapy
Endocrine therapy is the cornerstone of treatment for HR+ breast cancer in postmenopausal women. The primary goal is to reduce the levels of estrogen or block its effects on cancer cells. Commonly used agents include:
Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators (SERMs): Tamoxifen is a SERM that binds to estrogen receptors, blocking estrogen from stimulating breast cancer cells. It is effective but may have side effects such as increased risk of endometrial cancer and thromboembolic events.
Aromatase Inhibitors (AIs): These drugs, including anastrozole, letrozole, and exemestane, lower estrogen levels by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme, which converts androgens to estrogen in peripheral tissues. AIs are generally preferred in postmenopausal women due to their efficacy and safety profile compared to tamoxifen.
Selective Estrogen Receptor Downregulators (SERDs): Fulvestrant is a SERD that degrades estrogen receptors and is used in cases where resistance to other endocrine therapies develops.

Combining endocrine therapy with other treatments enhances efficacy. Examples include:
